About BBT

Curiosity can begin almost anywhere.

Books, Beans & Things is a place for the ideas, conversations, tools, books, coffee, places, experiences, and other things that shape how we think, live, create, and connect.

Notice what catches your attention.

Why this exists

We take in more than we can keep.

We consume more than we can possibly keep. BBT is an attempt to slow down long enough to notice what deserves to survive the encounter—not everything, just the one thing worth carrying forward.

The name

Books. Beans. Things.

Books feed the mind. Beans often fuel the conversation. Things shape the practices and experiences of ordinary life. The name is intentionally broad because curiosity rarely stays inside one category.

The One Thing

One thing can be enough.

One thing applied, questioned, remembered, connected, or shared is more valuable than ten ideas captured and forgotten.

Connections

Ideas rarely stay by themselves.

The contribution is often not another summary. It is the connection: what becomes visible when a book meets an experience, an old idea meets a new question, or another person enters the conversation?

One Chat Closer

Some things are better understood with another person in the room.

Not every question needs another article. Sometimes we need someone who knows more, someone who disagrees, someone who has lived it, or someone who sees what we missed.

One Chat Closer is an invitation to let curiosity move toward conversation—not necessarily so we leave agreeing, but so we leave understanding something a little better.
